Starfish Aquatics is a newly established Swim School in the heart of North Richmond in Sydney's West. The business has established a strong foundation of loyal customers by providing the highest quality facilities and unmatched customer service. Starfish believes that everybody has a right to feel safe and confident in the water, as swimming is an integral part of being Australian. 

Project Overview

Until recently, Starfish Aquatics hasn't put many resources behind its digital presence. Instead, the business has focused on word-of-mouth to maintain growth. We were approached by the business owner and we were asked to create a series of videos that show off the business and its main services. The brief stated that the finished videos were going to be used in a social media ad campaign, so we kept that in mind during the entire process. This particular project involved creating a promotional video for 'Squads'. We made two versions, each with a very specific intent. 

We wanted the first version of the Squads video to be informative, steady paced and educational. This is so that we can reach parents looking to take their Learn to Swim students to the next level. We wanted to position Squads as being the next step up from Learn to Swim, but we didn't want it to look daunting for young swimmers. 

We wanted the second version of the Squads video to be high energy and exciting but we still wanted to include all the critical information. The goal here was to target the really competitive swimmers that really want to take their swimming to the next level. This video is upbeat and frantic, creating plenty of hype.

We created two version of the Squads promo video. The first version took an informative approach and generated a moderate amount of hype (without going overboard). The second version took the energy to the next level, creating buzz and excitement for the Squads program. This allowed us to deliver a marketing-ready video project that could be implemented and tested for the greatest result. Having the two versions also allows Starfish to target different types of customers within its target market.
